Heart Blackened /침묵 (2017)

People said that blood is thicker than water. Well ... that's what this movie show.

 Im Tae San was an influential businessman. He had an only child, a daughter, Im Mi Ra. He also had a fiancee, a famous singer, Park Yoona.
Mira didn't received Yoona's presence well in their family. It seemed that Yoona came to take over her mother's position. Yoona - Mira's relationship got worse after one of Mira's friend found Yoona's past sex tape.
In a drunk state, Mira called Yoona and asked her to come to the club. They fought at the club restroom. Mira left Yoona and drove her car in her drunk state. As she passed out and arrested for her D.U.I, Yoona was found dead in the parking lot of her apartment. She was brought to the hospital but could be saved.
Soon Mira became the  prime suspect of the murder case. She was the last person that was seen with Yoona.

Im Tae San was the fiancee of the victim. Bu he also the father of the suspect. He investigated the case to find the truth cause Mira couldn't remember anything for the event at all.
Tae San hired Choi Hee Jung, a young attorney to defend his daughter. Their investigation led them to Kim Dong Myeong, Yoona's fansite owner / stalker. At the past, he was caught to put cctv without concern to stalk Yoona. He was the one who brought the key proof of the case.
Choi Hee Jung, in the other part was an earnest lawyer. She fought for the truth and believed that Mira was innocent. She asumed that Im Tae San's assistant was the culprit. She brought the proof how Yoona's expensive watch that was given by Tae San, was being sold at the market.
Dong Seong Sik, the prosecutor of the case, strongly believed that Mira was at fault. And he also believed that Tae San would fabricated the proof to save Mira. A call from Dong Myeong changed everything.

 

In the trial, Dong Myeong brought a flash disk which contain a cctv video of the murder. Tae San, snatched away the proof and kidnapped Dong Myeong right before the trial. As Hee Jung saw it, she told Prosecutor Dong and forced Tae San became a witness. Prosecutor Dong proceeded a permit to frisk Tae San.

The video proof show that Tae San was the culprit. Mira fainted and Tae San was arrested right away.

Mira was released and met with Jung Seong Gil, his father's assistant. She was sure that the girl at the video proof was not her. She asked Jung for the truth.
Jung only said that Mira couldn't handle the truth. But he handled her a handphone and a key. Those two items made Mira and Hee Jung flight to Bangkok.
They found a warehouse in Bangkok as shown in the only picture stored at the phone. When they went inside, they saw the exact copy of the murder place.
Im Tae San made a fake video with the help of Jung and Dong Myeong after he saw that his daughter was really the real culprit. He went casting the girls to be Mira and Yoona. He built the exact copy of the parking lot. He became one of the actor of the fake video as the main culprit.
Mira got the truth and visited his father. She asked what should she do : saying sorry to him or thanking him as he took the punishment instead of her.
It was a sad ending.

 

Well, the ending scene when Tae San and Jung ate noodles was so sad. It contains so much emotion.

But the whole story makes me feel that both the prosecutor and attorney are so stupid, getting blind over a subtle proof without investigate it thoroughly. 

Prosecutor Dong get a promotion. attorney Choi makes her own law firm. But Im Tae San is punished for her daughter's fault. He is the real victim here where he loses his fiancee and also gets jailed for his daughter.

What a mess story....

Ant-Man and The Wasp (2018)

How's it like to be smaller or bigger as our wish? Will it be fun or maybe thrilling? Or could it be annoying? I would like to ask Ant-Man if I can meet him. XD
I wonder maybe in a few next years, human can make this happen, a molecules quantum technology (?).

Ant-Man is back with its sequel "Ant-Man and The Wasp". Finally I got to watch it after it's premiere on Wednesday, July 4th 2018.
Personally, I really like this one. The humor is my style. The plot is clear. The characters are good too. I even prefer this one than Avengers Infinity War. The lacking point is more about Ant-Man costume design. The mask looks weird. Ghost's mask is far more than worst. I hate that one.

SPOILER - the whole movie :
The movie started with a flash back Hank Pym's memory of losing Janet van Dyne, his wife. Janet was lock to the quantum realm after got shrink as big as molecule to go inside a nuclear missile. She saved so many life but lose hers.
At the other side, Scott Lang was being house arrest after what had happened at the airport battle when he helped Captain America. Because of that, Hope and Hank Pym got into troubles with FBI and need to hide. Their relationship went bad. No more Ant-man.
After the last time, Lang could go out from the quantum realm, Hope and Hank believed that Janet was still alive. If they could that her location, maybe they could get her out from the quantum realm. For that mission, they made a portable lab and recruited ants to build a machine for opening the quantum realm. One day, Lang left a message to Hank. Said that Lang dreamed about Janet having a hide and seek with a little girl. Both Hope and Hank thought that it was Janet message. Lang's short trip to quantum realm made him to have a connection with Janet. So, Lang was needed to get Janet back.. to get her location.
Hope and Hank kidnapped Lang and began the process of tracking. While getting some part of the machine, an enemy appeared, called "Ghost".  She went after the portable lab to cure her unstable molecules. The unstable molecules made he could go through things but also made her in a lot of pain.
Ghost got the portable lab. Because of the portable lab, Hank, Hope and Lang look for Bill Foster, Hank's ex-partner from the Goliath project. They'd become enemies. But Hank need help to get her wife back. Foster did give a possible idea. But to do the idea, they need Ant-man old costume.But the old costume had been destroyed after the airport battle ..... or not?? Well ... Lang, smartly or stupidly, kept the costume under the best grandma in the world trophy. They sneak to Cassie's school to take it.
After the whole components were complete, they hide in a forest and started the process. They got Janet location. Janet made Lang as her antenna. But because of Lang's carelessness, Luis blow up the hide out because of the truth serum (or not a truth serum??).
Lang cased out from the lab and went back home to save his ass from Agent Woo. But unfortunately, Hope and Pym got arrested and the lab was stolen by Ghost. Lang felt so sorry. He got comforted by Cassie and concluded that he had to save Hope and Hank. He sneak to the FBI office and helped both Hope and Hank escaped. They tracked the Lab location with its tracking device.
When they found Ghost's hide out, they also found out that Bill Foster was with Ghost. He told Ghost's background story and also revealed her plan to extract (?) Janet's quantum energy that could led Janet to death.
With the help of ants, the three of them escaped. They began the pick up process. It was decided that Hank would be the one who dive to quantum realm and Ant-Man with Wasp would guard the lab.
In the quantum realm, Hank was busy admiring its beauty and in the outside, Ant-Man, Wasp plus Luis were busy having a chase with Burch and Ghost. They were fighting in the street of San Fransisco. Because of Burch, Ant-Man was stuck in his giant state and got famous on the net.
Hank saved Janet and both got out from the quantum realm. It turned that maybe Janet could cure Ghost / Ava Starr without died.
Well... it's a happy end.

As usual, Marvel movies are always up with a sneak peak spoiler at the end. In the spoiler, Ant-Man went to quantum realm to get quantum energy for Ava. At the real world, Hank, Janet and Hope operated the machine. But suddenly, before Ant-Man could go out from the quantum realm, Hank, Janet and Hope turned into dust. Ant-Man was locked inside the quantum realm.
I think that scene show the time when Thanos makes half of life in the universe are disintegrated. It means maybe Ant-Man is saved because of him inside the quantum realm. But who'll get him out? It could be a hint that Ant-Man will on the second part of Infinity War.
I'm so excited.

I recommend this movie. It's a fun one. And I think it's more fun to watch it in 4DX or ScreenX.
P.S. : I watch it in ScreenX version and it's a whole new level of cool. ^^

Salty Tour / Thrifter's Guide to Luxurious Travels / 짠내투어

 짠내투어 literally means a salty tour but it can also has meaning as a cheap tour. 

Well... the show is a about having a tour in foreign country with a limited money. It's broadcasted on tvN every Saturday at 22:20 (KST) since November 25, 2017.
I never heard about this show before. Thanks to Chanyeol being its guest in ep 25, I get to know about this show and totally hooked.

Park Myung Soo, Park Na Rae, Kim Sang Min, and Jung Joon Young are the first batch member of the show. The four of them plus guest(s) are having a budget trip. The member will compete with each other to be the guide of the day with a certain budget for foods, transportation, entertainment and place to stay. At the end of the trip, the guest(s) and members will vote whose tour is better in terms of food, accomodation, and a special different term based of the places. The winner can get a small luxurious wish at the end of the trip and can bring out one member to enjoy it together.
Because of a past incident, Kim Sang Min has stepped down from the show. Moon Se Yoon and Heo Kyung Hwan are added to the regular casts. 

This show is currently being subbed by Viu from ep 26. Is it a Chanyeol's effect? XD Well, I heard ep 25 (Chanyeol's first appearance) was getting so much love and quite high rating.

But honestly, this show idea is awesome. It's such a good information for backpacker travelers. I'm quite surprised with some places that isn't a traditional tourism places. It's also said that this show points out 2 things : good quality for the price and small luxury.
Aren't you tempted to have a budget trip??! ^^


PS : I really hope Viu to sub the earlier episodes. I wanna watch from the first episode. XD Or maybe tvN can provide eng subs for international fans.

Those Who Cross The Line / Cross The Line / On The Border / 선을 넘는 녀석들 (2018)

There are bunch of traveling reality show out there. But this one is setting on traveling around the border of two countries. They point out the thrill crossing the border.
The show that is produced by MBC, is hosted by Kim Gu Ra, Seol Min Seok, and Lee Si Young. The combination is quite unique. Kim Gu Ra is known by his sharp tongue. Lee Si Young is an actress that is also known as a boxing athlete. Seol Min Seok is a historian that recently becomes a TV personality. I remember him as a teacher in one episode of Infinity Challenge. He teaches history with a fun way and a fun talk tone.

In every episode, they visit two countries and cross the borders directly. They point out the difference between two neighborhood countries. Usually, they visit its famous tourism places, try its local food, its culture, etc. Along the way, Seol Min Seok gives the historical perspective of the country that they visit.
It's awesome that Kshow has so many style for its variety show. Mixing traveling with history education is something new. This show can be watched in Viu with title : On The Border .

Amazing Saturday /놀라운 토요일 (2018)

Recently, a new variety show is released in tvN for the weekend time slot : Amazing Saturday.

 It will first begin with “Do Re Mi Market” and will continue with other various segments. For the casts, there are Shin Dong Yup, Park Na Rae, SHINee Key, Girls Day Hyeri, Kim Dong Hyun, Moon Se Yoon, Hanhae and Boom.
The format is a game quiz & basicly luring answer with food from various markets in Korea. The quiz itself is about songs' lyrics. They listen to a song and need to write the exact lyric to get food.
They also bring out a mukbang (eating) show with Haenim. She brings out the beast in her with her portion of eating and teasing. They get 3 chances for each song to guess the lyric. Every time  they fail guessing, some portion of the food will be taken.
Some foods are totally drooling worthy >///.///<

After some episodes, they start taking guest. The format is simple. I don't know how the reception of this show in this Korea, but I hope they'll get long lasting. I think, it's good to have this kind of quiz in the middle of bunch of reality shows.
P.S. : I also think, they need to bring out the casts' interaction more. The chemistry hasn't been out yet.

SHINee's Back - Reality Show (2018)

SHINee's is back for their 10th anniversary this year. It's a triple comeback with 3 tittle tracks. <3 And for celebrating their 10th anniversary, Mnet is presenting SHINee's reality show : "SHINee's Back".
It's a reality show which covering SHINee's preparation for this comeback. Every episode is using SHINee's song as the title. The best part is it has english subtitles <3 <3 . Its episode is only around 10 minutes long.

It has been 9 years for me being SHINee World. We go through high and low together. They're always there in my loneliness and sadness but also along my happiness.
I hope they'll keep together for a long time. It won't be long till Jinki's enlistment. 2 years TT_TT..
But, I'm sure their bond is not something that can be broke easily.
Hoping for a 20th..30th... 40th... anniversary together. ^^

Finally ... I can watch this one. I've finished 6 episodes in two days. Can't wait for the 7th episode with eng sub. Unfortunately, I haven't found the official for this one. I watch the fan subs one from Emzhaek (twitter link) - PS : thanks for the subs.

Why Not : The Dancer (2018) is a program

about dancing & choreography. The members are Eunhyuk "Super Junior" and Gikwang "Highlight". Later, they adds Taemin "SHINee" and Jisung "NCT".
The purpose of this program is for the members to make their own original choreography for international artists like Madonna, Justin Bieber, Jessie J, etc. That's why they go to LA for filming.
The earlier episode is a little bit boring. They put too much conversation, breakfast preparation, awkward situation, etc. But it's getting better towards the latest one. Jisung "Homecoming fairy" edit is quite refreshing too.

Eunhyuk seems being the leader here. But he also seems bullied a lot by the others XD LOL.
Gikwang's style is a little bit reserved and planned style - I think. So that's why when they learn something off the cuff, he's a little bit looks flustered.
Taemin is not the old shy maknae anymore. He's the devil master of the group. He's the one who bully Eunhyuk by framing him a lot. XD By Taem joining the team, their choreography style is changing too. He exudes sexy style.
Jisung, I don't understand why suddenly he appears. He's too awkward at first. It's sadly a funny scene when he doesn't know what to do. But, I think he'll have a savage style later if he's already been comfortable enough.

The idea of this program is great. It shows that you need a big dream to have a better future. When Gallant contacts them, well... it's still a start - not yet get the choreo but it's better than nothing right?!. I also can understand Gikwang's break down when they learn about dancing in heels. The whole pressure is big. It shows that idol is not only handsome or beautiful faces, but also hard work and bunch pressure that haunted them.
As a shawol, I'm so proud of Taemin. He's so composed and ready. He talks better and also good in point out his opinion. He even teases a lot. When he teaches "Move", I love how he sounds quite composed and confident. He calmly divides the students in 3 section. When he meet Ian Eastwood, his english is just fine. I think, Taemin can communicate in english too.
Well..I do really like this one. Hopefully, we can get the subs regularly. ^^

Weekly Idol / 주간 아이돌 Ep 359 (SHINee)

Well, I seldom watch Weekly Idol. I just watch when the idol is my fave , like SHINee.
So... here I'm getting excited over this episode.

SHINee's back for their 10th Anniversary. They came to Weekly Idol and got an anniversary cake (P.S. : the cake was so pretty...). They were asked to make another introduction in a cute, adorable, and lovely style >///o\\\< .
In this episode, SHINee was totally wild ... literary wild. I never know that they could be this free. It was so hilarious. The MC (Kim Shin Young and Lee Sang Min) demanded so many things to them, like recreating The Busyo Busyo CF, roller coaster dance, random dance play and many more. In this episode, they also performed "I Want You" for the first time.
My favorite is roller coaster dance. I never see other group doing roller coaster dance, but I think SHINee's is AMAZING. How could they keep the tempo with those kind of up and down pace?? Well... it shows how they own their choreography. I'm so proud.
In this episode, they also had SHINee's self written segment. Taem has changed. He became so chatty and funny. His answer were out of this world. Key's one was also funny. His meditation's hobby was on point XD LOL. Minho's one was games : peeling plastic wrap, gonggi king, face rainbow slinky,
  face chewing gum, hangul card game, and the cushion game. Onew's one was the one who led an aegyo disaster. They chose one member to present aegyo with rock paper scissor games and Key was lose. He tried to escape from the studio XD.

Maybe because I'm a fan, this episode is 100% funny. Taemin owns this episode. His remarks and actions are soooo funny. The whole episode makes me laughing like crazy. I can't wait for the next episode.

Where On Earth?? / 거기가 어딘데?? (2018)

Here come one of my fave PDnim, Yoo Ho Jin with a brand new variety show : Where On Earth?? It's a traveling based reality show in KBS every Friday, 11PM KST. The first episode is broadcasted on June, 1st 2018.

Ji Jin Hee, Cha Tae Hyun, Jo Sae Ho, and Bae Jung Nam were "trapped" to join the expedition team in Where On Earth. They were challenged to explore unusual places by themselves.
The first expedition was Arabian Desert - Raqi, Ash Sharqīyah, Oman. They got a mission to walk on feet for around 40 km in 3 days 4 night in the desert.
They got briefed by a professional explorer and choosing Ji Jin Hee as the captain of the expedition.

Ji Jin Hee is the captain team. He is the one with the power of decision making on the expedition. He also assigns the role for members.
Cha Tae Hyun is the information source. He's like the news/gossip channel on TV for the team.
Jo Sae Ho is the health center. He makes the sanitary, boasting the member's mental and improving the spirit. But from the preview, it seems he is the one who get hurt a lot XD LOL.
Bae Jung Nam, is the chef of the expedition team. He prepares the groceries, daily menus and cooking for them. The food looks amazing for sure.

I love the idea for exploring the untouchable places on earth. It seems to have a bigger risk than a usual travel based TV show but interesting for sure. As far, I'm quite agree with the member combination. But I think 4 members is too small, right? Or maybe they have plan to invite guests? We'll see along the broadcast.

If not careful, this show will be to similar with the law of the jungle, esp if one day they'll visit a forest like places. The editing process will also be the key point. Places like dessert is usually no entertainment sources. If the members aren't fun or maybe too exhausted to be entertaining, it'll be disaster without a fun editing skill.
Can't wait for the next episode.

Busted / 범인은 바로 너 (2018)

I'm a fan of Korean variety show. I think Korean variety shows give me a fresher and newer perspective. For example, if the variety or reality show is about traveling, it won't be just a simple traveling. They'll always present a specific purpose or a different format.
Nowadays, Korean variety shows have already developed to a new format that I'm a little bit not sure about it.

Busted is the first variety show that I know which is a hybrid between variety show and drama. A little bit like sitcom, I think. It's produced by Netflix with 10 episodes in one season. The show is released on May 4 – June 1, 2018. It's also rumored to have a second season in discussion.

This show presents seven regular members : Yoo Jae Suk, Ahn Jae Wook, Kim Jong Min, Lee Kwang Soo, Park Min Young, Oh Sehun, and Kim Se Jeong. All of them, play as themselves with their own character but with artificial identities. For example, Yoo Jae Suk is himself here, not as a nation MC but as a small town detective.They are united to solve a murder case.

It was started with an invitation. The seven members were invited to a murder game party by "M". It supposed to be a game but then a real murder case happened. M was shot and death. The seven of them were together to investigate the case. It led them to "K" and Project D.
Project D was K's project to reduce criminal case with making a a group of detective that were implanted with a chip containing famous detective DNA. And the seven of them were subjects of that project that was claimed error. After this case, K hired them as private detectives to solves cases, one in each episodes.

Yoo Jae Suk is himself here but with small town detective as his background. He's very confident that he has talent in solving cases. But as if you watch Running Man, his character is almost the same here. But at the positive side, he shows a remarkable leader potential. He leads the team but also bickering with Kwangsoo all of the time.
Ahn Jae Wook is a former detective. Have a quite good deduction skill but afraid of snake. He needs to learn pole dancing XD.
Kim Jong Min, an errand runner - how could he becomes a detectives?? I think that's the biggest mystery. He has almost zero contribution in investigation but he's quite entertaining. I thought the producer will bring out his history skill in this like 2D1N.
Lee Kwang Soo's bad luck is still in its peak. His dumb and unlucky character is forever stitched on him. (P.S. : But then Kim Jong Min seems dumber here). He often gives important hints but get ignored by others. XD LOL.
Park Min Young is basicly the real detective here. She is a travel and mystery lovers that is the best investigator and the smarter here. But she also shows a sign of 4D personality. It was hilarious when she laid in the ground at the opening of ep 2.
Oh Sehun is a choreographer. At the early episodes, he's very silent. But after a while, he's still not chatty but becomes more mischievous. He's good on the running part.
Kim Se Jeong is a daughter of a mystery novelist. She joins the team from ep 2 after her invitation is stolen by Yoo Yoon Seok. She's quite boyish and speaks bluntly.

I love the character combination. This team has a brain, a leader, a dumb and a dumber. The guests are awesome. They bring out quite a bunch quality actors here.

I'm really confused which parts are scripted and which parts are not. I wonder if they're really solving the case by themselves or it's just an act? Some of the games are refreshing. Its setting reminds me to Detective Conan. A treasure hunt, a murder in a closed place, bomb threat, etc - really Detective Conan's style right?! But this one could be a choice for entertainment.

Writing isn't really my forte and English is not my mother languages but I want to learn to write and also practicing my English.
It's been quite a time since I have a hobby. So maybe I can make blogging as my hobby and also to relieve my stress.
Mostly, I'll write about Korean Variety Show, Korean drama, movies or maybe fangirling. We'll see. ^^ ~
